Survey: America's Addicted To Snacking
It seems that people are eating all the time, and just about anywhere, reported CBS 2 News. That includes while driving, working and even at church services. A survey by Roper Starch Worldwide found only 24 percent of Americans eat three meals a day without snacking in between. And as eating has become a recreational activity, it's created a few problems. Health experts say increased snacking contributes to rising obesity rates. According to CBS 2 News, the National Insitutes of Health says 52 percent of Americans are now overweight. That's the highest rate ever. Studies have found it's a hard habit to break. One nutritionist likened snacking to having a baby blanket, providing comfort.
